Delete your FootyAI account & data
You can request deletion of your FootyAI account and all data associated with it at any time. This page applies to the FootyAI Android app by Trendy Publishing.
How to request deletion
- From the email address you use to sign in to FootyAI, email trendypublishingau@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my FootyAI account”.
- We verify the request came from the account's own email address (no other proof needed).
- Your account and all associated data are permanently deleted within 30 days, and we confirm by reply once done.
What gets deleted
- Your account (the email-based sign-in identity).
- Synced app data — preferences, favourite/followed clubs, favourited matches and chat history stored against the account.
- Usage records — your AI question-quota history.
- Push notification registration — your device token and club alert preferences.
What isn't affected
- On-device data — anything stored only on your phone is removed by uninstalling the app.
- Google Play subscriptions — deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription, because billing is handled by Google Play. Cancel any active subscription in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions before or after requesting deletion.
- Aggregate server logs (requests/errors with no account linkage) are retained briefly for service operation per our privacy policy.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You don't have to close your FootyAI account to remove data:
- In the app — delete individual chats via the Chat History screen (clock icon, top bar) and remove favourites/followed clubs from Favourites or Profile. For signed-in users these deletions also remove the synced server copy.
- By request — email trendypublishingau@gmail.com from your sign-in address stating which data to remove (e.g. “delete my chat history”, “delete my question-quota history”, “remove my push registration”), and we delete just that within 30 days, keeping your account active. The same data categories listed above apply; whatever you don't ask us to delete is retained while your account exists.
Using FootyAI without an account
Signing in is optional. If you'd rather not have an account at all, simply sign out (Profile → Account → Sign out) and keep using the app as a guest — or uninstall to remove everything on the device.
