Privacy Policy

FootyAI is designed to work with as little of your data as possible. The app runs fully without an account, and nothing we hold is ever sold.

What the app stores on your device

• Preferences and favourites — your display name, favourite and followed clubs, favourited matches and app settings.
• Chat history — your conversations with the AI analyst.
• A random install identifier — used to enforce the free tier's weekly question quota and to deliver optional value-alert notifications. It is not your name, email or advertising ID.

What our servers process

• AI questions — when you ask the analyst something, your question (and recent conversation context) is sent to our server, which queries AFL data and a large-language-model provider (Google or Anthropic) to compose the answer. Questions are not used to build a profile of you.
• Quota counts — how many questions your install (or account) has asked in the past week.
• Push registration — if you allow notifications, your device's push token and chosen clubs, used solely to send value alerts.

Optional account

You may sign in with your email (a one-time code — we never see or store a password). If you do, your question quota, favourites, preferences and chat history are stored against your account (hosted on Supabase infrastructure) so they follow you across devices. Signing in is never required. To delete your account and its synced data, email us (address below) from the signed-in address.

Advertising

The free tier shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may process device identifiers to serve and measure ads; in regions where consent is required (e.g. EEA/UK), a consent prompt is shown before any ad request and you can change your choice later via "Ad Privacy Options" in the app. Premium subscribers see no ads. Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play and managed via RevenueCat, which processes your purchase state (not your card details — those never reach us). Purchases are tied to your Google account per Play's own terms.

Analytics

The app contains no third-party analytics SDK. We see aggregate server logs (requests, errors) needed to keep the service running.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with the processors named above (LLM provider for answering your questions, AdMob for ads, RevenueCat/Google Play for billing, Supabase for optional accounts, Firebase for push delivery), each bound by their own terms, and where required by law.

Your rights

You can use the app without an account; uninstalling removes all on-device data. For account deletion, data access or any privacy question, contact marketing@apn.net.au. Australian users are covered by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); EEA/UK users have GDPR rights including access, rectification and erasure.

This website

This site is static and sets no cookies. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs standard web requests (IP, user agent) per GitHub's privacy statement.

Age restriction

FootyAI is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It discusses betting markets and odds; it does not take bets. Gamble responsibly — help is free and 24/7 at Gambling Help Online (1800 858 858).
